Former Minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao has laid bare the criminal history of Chakradhar Goud aka Gadhagoni Chakradhar Goud, a businessman and founder of Farmers First Foundation.
In a statement on Wednesday (December 4, 2024), Mr. Harish Rao said that over the years, Goud has cultivated a public image of philanthropy and service, but has a history of scams, assaults, and exploitation that highlight a pattern of deceit and crime.
“Between 2021 and 2024, Chakradhar ran a job scam, defrauding over 22,000 people in South India. Posing as a recruiter for work-from-home data entry jobs, he charged activation fees of ₹2,000 to ₹10,000 but never paid the victims. He made nearly ₹10 crores from the scam, spending it on luxury cars and real estate. In 2023, he attempted to sexually assault a married woman in Shamirpet, using his connection to her husband to gain access to her home. Later that year, he conspired with his second wife, Anshita Reddy, to kidnap her former partner over a ₹25 lakh debt, but the attempt failed and Chakradhar was arrested, though Anshita remains at large,” said Mr. Rao in a release.
He stated that Chakradhar’s history of criminal activities dates back years, including a counterfeit currency case in 2006 in Siddipet, involvement in fraudulent job promises in 2014, with a case settled in Lok Adalat, assaulted an auto driver in Bachupally in 2018 and trespassed into a private residence and assaulted occupants, with the case still under trial in 2019.
“Once touted as a benefactor for tenant farmers through ventures like ‘Farmers First Foundation’, Chakradhar used his public image as a cover for his criminal enterprises. His arrest in multiple cases has exposed the dark side of his operations, leaving his victims demanding justice and accountability,” said Rao, condemning his actions and urging authorities to ensure strict legal action.
This comes a day after Chakradhar Goud filed a case against T. Harish with the Panjagutta police for alleging threats, false cases and unauthorised surveillance of his phone.
