Works pertaining to the Uttarandhra Sujala Sravanti irrigation project will resume soon after the rainy season comes to an end, and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has given an assurance to this effect, says Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu.
In an official release on Saturday, Mr. Ayyanna Patrudu said the government had invited tenders for taking up the Polavaram Left Main Canal works at an estimated cost of ₹960 crore. The Uttarandhra Sujala Sravanthi works would also commence simultaneously, the statement said.
“The Chief Minister has promised to ensure supply of Godavari waters till Anakapalli district,” the release added.
