Two men involved in a job visa racket were nabbed by the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone and Narayanguda Police. The duo had deceived job seekers aspiring for employment in foreign countries.
The accused, identified as Yeruva Abhishek Reddy, 30, and Thumma Chinnamma, 41, operated the scam under the guise of a firm, ‘JMJ Reddy Consultancy,’ located in Himayat Nagar. “Reddy, who had previously travelled to Singapore on a job visa, leveraged his overseas contacts to establish the fraudulent operation in collaboration with Chinnamma. They lured victims with promises of high-paying jobs abroad, offering quick visa approvals, guaranteed placements, and no requirements for prior qualifications or experience,” said police.
Claiming expertise in overseas employment, the accused issued fake or invalid visa documents to approximately 25 victims. Each victim was assured comprehensive support, including visa processing, accommodation, and travel arrangements. “The duo collected ₹83 lakh from unsuspecting job seekers but failed to deliver on their promises. Victims who sought answers were avoided or ignored,” added police.
Reddy had earlier absconded after a cheating case was filed against him at Narayanguda police station. He later shifted operations to Alwal, where another case was registered. Investigators discovered that Reddy used the illicitly acquired funds for personal expenses, including purchasing a car worth ₹25 lakh, with instalments paid from the fraudulent earnings.
