Alapati Vidyasagar was sworn in as the State general secretary of the AP NGO Association on Tuesday, replacing Chowdary Purushotham Naidu who retired. Mr. Vidyasagar was elected by the State executive through a co-option process, with all district committees unanimously approving his election.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Vidyasagar said he has held many positions in the AP NGO Association over the past 32 years with the support of employees. He emphasised that he considers this new position as a responsibility and assured the employees that he would stand by them to solve any issues that they may face in the course of their duties.
He said he would work with the government in a harmonious manner and, if necessary, resort to protests to secure the rights of government employees. He pledged to continue the legacy of previous leaders and work for the welfare of employees, enhancing the prestige of the association at the national level.
